Double room available from 1st November in a lovely 2-bed, 2-bath flat near Aldgate East.

The room comes fully furnished with a double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers. You’ll also basically have your own bathroom, as the other bedroom has its own en-suite.

The flat has a spacious open-plan living and dining area, balcony, concierge, washing machine and separate tumble dryer.

Location is really convenient:

• 7 mins to Aldgate
• 9 mins to Tower Hill
• Easy access to the City, Shoreditch and Tower Bridge
• Loads of cafés, restaurants and supermarkets nearby

Rent: £1,500 pcm
Bills are around £250 a month.

Available to sublet for 6 months, with the potential to extend depending on my flatmate’s travel plans.

You’ll be living with me. I’m 33, a GP, Egyptian originally and grew up in Scotland. I’m sociable and easy-going, but also quite independent and like having my own space.

Outside of work I’m into the gym, travelling, festivals and going out. Music-wise, I’m into house, techno, R&B, Arabic music and reggaeton. I love making the most of London and trying new places and things, but I’m just as happy having a quiet night in.

I’m pretty relaxed as a flatmate, although I do like the flat to be clean and tidy. I prefer shared spaces to stay clutter-free and for things to be put away rather than left around. I’m definitely not expecting the place to be spotless all the time, but I tend to go by a 24-hour rule for dishes so they don’t pile up. Ideally I’m looking for someone who has a similar approach and naturally likes keeping their home tidy.

It would be great to live with someone I can get along with and occasionally hang out with (a gym buddy would be a plus), while still giving each other plenty of space.

I’m currently away in Manchester, so initially I’d be looking to have a quick video call to get to know each other a little and see if it feels like a good fit. After that, we can arrange an in-person viewing of the flat.
