Available from mid-January 2027
Easy commute to Canary Wharf, the City and Central London
The area
Langdon Park, E14
The flat is a short stroll from Bartlett Park, where a lovely Sunday market runs nearby. Check out the bakery on the edge of the park as well. From there, the canal towpaths are super peaceful, and it's a gorgeous walk to the Limehouse Cut, or a nice, car-free walk or cycle to Mile End Park and Victoria Park, and one of my favourite things about living here.

About me
I'm Carmen. I run operations for a small studio and work from home two days a week, so it would be ideal to find someone with a similar setup, preferably on opposite days, so we each get some quiet time in the flat.
I've not long moved in and I'm still finding my rhythm. I'm a bit of a night owl, though I'm trying to get to bed earlier. I love to cook, and on my work-from-home days I usually batch cook after work. I don't have a TV at the moment, but I do enjoy watching a film or a show in the lounge. I also make art, and every so often I'll have a full day of it.
I also enjoy reading a nice book on the sofa on a Saturday morning with a cup of tea, and you’re welcome to join.
I'm happy to chat and share a meal, and I also enjoy quiet evenings, or times when I'm in focus mode on whatever new idea possesses me. Over the next while I'm hoping to learn more about caring for houseplants, anyone with green fingers to the front! I also want to, cook more ambitious recipes, make proper time for art and sewing, and have friends round for dinner now and then.
I'm quite into music and will turn it up when I'm home alone. When someone else is in, I switch to headphones or keep it low, and I'd ask the same in return. I also find calls on speakerphone carry through the flat a lot, so I'd ask that calls, especially work ones, are done on headphones. I'll do the same.
Living together
I’m not super fussy, and life is already intense and busy, the last thing anyone wants to do is tidy up. I like to clear as I go, so it doesn’t turn into a big job. The dishwasher helps a lot, I usually fill up as I go and let it run overnight. The washing machine is a washer-dryer, which helps a lot.
The room is for one person only. Partners and loved ones are welcome to stay over occasionally, just not as a regular arrangement. If a family member is visiting, they're welcome on the sofa bed in the living room. Sadly there are no pets, as much as I love them, and I'd prefer a non-smoker, or casual/social smoker.
Ideal flatmate
I'm looking for a professional who is tidy but easygoing, who has lived in a flatshare before and enjoyed it. You'll have your own life going on, with friends, interests and plans that take you out of the flat some evenings, and you'll also be happy to share a meal or a chat when we're both in.
The initial agreement is for 12 months, one month's notice on either side, and we can extend it if things are working well for both of us and no other circumstances change.
