Description

Hello!

After a really lovely two years, my current flatmate Anna has moved out (sob!). Therefore I'm looking for a flattie who would enjoy a fun, relaxed but professional flatshare.

The flat:
The flat is high spec with lots of beautiful design touches; it's bright, modern and home. It's southwest facing, so warm and light. The balcony is large and overlooks the park and is a great space for a lazy afternoon, reading a book or a cocktail or two . The lounge / kitchen is spacious and a great place to entertain and come fully equipped so no need to bring kitchen stuff.

The flat has all the usual mod cons - washing machine, fridge, freezer, bath and shower. We have a cleaner who attends every fortnight - she's great and will even make your bed for you. Amazon Prime, NowTV and Netflix included.

If you have a car there is free on-street parking available. Also there's a secure bike shed for cyclists.

The room:
Light, with tonnes of storage and a park view. The room comes furnished with a double bed, underbed storage, a triple wardrobe, bedside table, lamp and full length mirror.

Travel:
Anerley is just in Zone 4 and is within walking distance / short bus ride from Crystal Palace (zone 3), Birkbeck (for trams), Penge East, Kent House and Clock House stations putting lots of locations in easy reach. The location is particularly great for trips exploring East London or for getting out of the city and enjoying the countryside. Anna (last flattie) and I still do day trips to Kent and Surrey for a hike / explore / pub grub / to see England's quaintest villages.

London Bridge - 25 mins
Canary Wharf - 35 mins
East Croydon - 13 mins
Shoreditch - 29 mins
Clapham Junction - 30 mins
Brixton - 33 mins
Bromley - 35 mins
Victoria - 37 mins
Waterloo - 37 mins

Plus there's loads of buses to Clapham, Streatham Hill, Brixton, Croydon, Beckenham, Bromley and more; the bus stop opposite the building is served by the no. 3 night bus.

The area:
There's a nice local pub 5-10 min walk away or Crystal Palace is a 15 minute walk away and lots of good restaurants and pubs. Crystal Palace Park is beautiful all year round and in general the area is quite green and leafy.

There's an Aldi supermarket 2 mins walk away or a Tesco metro 5 mins away. Or for a bigger shop there's Sainsburys in Penge or Crystal Palace.

Local gyms include the Crystal Palace sports centre or I go to the Beckenham Spa gym which is really reasonable.

About me:
I've lived in London for 14 years, originally from near Portsmouth. I'm a music educator, primarily working with special needs children and I love it! I work long hours so it would be nice to come home to a friendly face and if you like the odd vino now and again that's cool too.

Details:
Minimum term is 6 months; notice period 2 months.

Sorry but no DSS, couples or smokers.

The room will be available from late May but for the right flatmate I may be persuaded to wait.

Please message if you have any questions or if you would like to arrange a viewing.

Thanks,
Kim
