Paradise garden bedroom in Zone 2

A beautiful garden bedroom available for a current postgraduate student lodger.

The garden room is unconventional but lovely. It is an octagonal light-filled double bedroom separated from the stunning family home. It is insulated and heated, and fully furnished with a double bed (bedding and towels provided), desk and chair, storage space, and ultra-fast Wi-Fi.

The room is in our private large semi-tropical garden and allows a lot of privacy and is a wonderful, quiet retreat.

In the main house you would share the other facilities with our family and these compromise of a super comfy family lounge room, a guest wc, a large shared family bathroom with wc, bath and separate shower in the house - please note you would have to come through the garden to reach the house.

You would have use of the washing machine for laundry. There is use of a large and fully equipped professional-standard kitchen, with all the amenities including dishwasher, double oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, etc. If you like to cook - you'll love the kitchen!

Our house is an elegant family garden duplex, situated on a leafy residential street. The apartment is lovingly furnished and has featured in an interior design magazine. It is light and airy, with high ceilings and direct access to a large, private semi-tropical garden in Archway, N19. Conveniently located in Zone 2 with many public transport options including the tube station 5 minutes’ walk from the house, and an overground station 2 minutes away.

Archway is a buzzing neighborhood in Zone 2. It has an underground and overground station, bus links, gyms, public tennis courts, close to several public swimming pools, a great many shops, specialty Asian, Turkish and international grocers, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, etc. There is an Odeon cinema a short walk away and arthouse cinemas in nearby Crouch End. Islington, Kentish Town and Camden are all within easy access, and central London is a 20-minute bicycle ride away. The neighborhood is also close to a great many parks and outdoor spaces, including Hampstead Heath and Highgate Woods.

We are a welcoming, inclusive, liberally minded and academic household. I am a working single-mother of two sons aged 16 and 18 years and our large, very friendly dog. You have to be OK with young people and animals!

The room would ideally suit someone who is open-minded about unconventional living spaces, independent but friendly and happy to be involved in our warm family environment. We love all kinds of food and occasionally sharing meals with the lodger is something we enjoy and find bonding.

We have a cleaning lady for communal parts, but you will be expected to clean up after yourself and it is important that you are happy to be a respectful and considerate member of the household.
