Comfortable room in friendly Archway house

We have a lovely double room available in a friendly shared house from the start of January (11th January at the latest). Bills are around £120 each month and rent is £890.

The property is a nicely sized terraced house with three beds upstairs sharing an upstairs bathroom, and another bedroom (the room available) and small bathroom downstairs. We also have a living room and a separate large kitchen which leads out to the sunny back garden/patio where we have a picnic bench and barbecue.

We are in an excellent location in the centre of North London on a quiet residential street just off Highgate Hill, 5mins from Archway Tube station (Northern Line zone 2), and only 20mins from central London. The area is well connected by buses and Overground to North and East London. Highgate Village and Waterlow Park are a 10min walk, and Hampstead Heath is only 15mins away. Next to the tube are a number of shops including Aldi and M&S, and two gyms. If you drive, street parking permits are available and there is space for bikes in the back garden. Cycling to work takes about 25mins to Tottenham Court Road, for reference.

This is a good size ground floor room with hardwood floors and high ceilings, furnished with double bed & mattress, wardrobe, chest of drawers and two mirrors. There’s space for a desk and bike storage (outside space also available in back garden) and this room has almost exclusive use of the downstairs shower (note: this is not a private ensuite).

The current housemates are 3 people in our late 20s and early 30s in a variety of careers. We all lead busy lives in London but get along very well and enjoy hanging out while cooking, over a pint or a football game. We are generally a quiet house during the week but do like to host friends for dinner or barbecues (and the occasional bigger gathering!). We are looking for another friendly person who will enjoy living with housemates, wants to get involved and will help keep the house in a good condition.
