I have a beautiful two-storey flat in a leafy conservation area in zone 2. It has city views from the living room, which is wonderful at sunrise and sunset, and it has several parks nearby and village-type shops. It is a lovely area to live: it has a strong community vibe, with carols at Christmas and Living Advent Calendars. It is close to both Archway Station (Islington) and Highgate Station — a few minutes walking distance.

Highgate (village) is also a few minutes walk away, with restaurants and cafes. It is also close to Crouch End, which has an amazing range of restaurants, bars, pubs and shops.

I work away as a lawyer, and I will rarely be there — within the last year, whilst my lodgers were there, I was not there at all.
