Double in large, friendly house in Balham

Move in date: 20th July

We are 2 girls looking for a new housemate as our current housemate is moving out due to a change in job. We're a 15 min walk from Balham station (northern line and trains to Clapham Junction/Victoria) and only 5 mins walk to Tooting Common.

Balham has a lovely vibe with lots of restaurants, pubs, and a few good size supermarkets

We are very much looking for a long term housemate, who wants to make the house a home.

The room & house:

The room is a big double on the first floor which overlooks the back garden and has room for a desk to work at. It's unfurnished but does have a large built in wardrobe. The current tenant is also open to selling/leaving the drawers and/or bed.

The house has 1 bathroom with an over bath shower. A large kitchen with plenty of storage, 2x ovens, kitchen table, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. The living room is nice and spacious, perfect for movie nights and series binges! The garden is a good size with furniture and sunlight throughout the day.

Rent/Landlords:

The rent is £1000. Bills come to roughly £115 per month including fast Wi-Fi and metered utilities. We split the rent unevenly as one of us has the larger room and uses the box room as an office / storage space so pays more

The landlords are a wonderful couple who live nearby in Brixton. We rent with them through OpenRent so have a good, direct, relationship with them - they have been great with the few small issues and have recently upgraded the garden space

About us:

We're 36 & 38yrs, and both hybrid work 9-5 hours. Jas works in Sport Marketing so naturally into her sports, and plays tennis, rounders, badminton but also loves comedy nights and a good crime/thriller drama series. I (Sarah) work in IT for a property firm, play tag rugby and love a good video game sesh every now and again. We both like to travel, explore and try new things and when in, we hangout and go to the many pubs in Balham. We do also have our own independent social lives and respect each other's space so we're looking for someone who is like-minded, clean, and sociable.

We also tend to look after dogs/cats through Rover and friends when they go on holiday etc, so looking for someone who is ok with pets in the house.
