Hello!
We’re looking for two people to take two of the rooms in a bright and spacious three-bed flat in Balham. The flat is split over two floors and has two bathrooms, a cosy living room, a huge kitchen and a garden complete with a BBQ – perfect in the warmer months. One room (labelled Room 1 in pictures, pictures 1-3) is on the ground floor with a bathroom down the corridor, whilst the other room is one of two bedrooms downstairs (labelled Room 2 in pictures, pictures 5-6) that share a separate bathroom. Room 2 also has access to a wardrobe in the hallway opposite the room itself.
Both rooms are available from the 31st Jan (though there’s some flexibility for an earlier move-in from mid-January if needed). Bills are around £140 each, which includes a fortnightly cleaner and a small house pot for essentials like cleaning products and loo roll.
The flat is a 5 minute walk to Balham Underground Station and a 9 minute walk to Wandsworth Common mainline station. It’s also only a 10 minute walk to Wandsworth Common!
You’ll be living with the wonderful Harriet (31), who works as a civil servant and works from home a couple of days a week. She’s very social, always out seeing friends, and loves a pilates or spin class. She’s also an amazing baker – so you may be lucky enough to come home to some sweet treats now and then! 🍰
Both myself and Rachel (who live in these two rooms) are coincidentally moving in with our boyfriends at the same time, so Harriet is looking for two new flatmates. Ideally, she’s looking for two girls who have their own busy lives but are also up for the occasional glass of wine together.
We’ve absolutely loved living here over the past few years. The location is great, the landlord is responsive and sorts issues quickly, and the flat itself is bright and spacious. The current contract is confirmed until 15th April, when it will then renew (any rent amendments tbc).
We’ll be doing viewings in the evenings from Monday 5 January to Wednesday 7 January, so if you’re interested, please send a little bit about yourself, your availability and room preference and I’ll get back to you.
