Bright double bedroom available in maisonette

We’re looking someone to join our homely, bright 3 bedroom maisonette in Balham, as our lovely housemate has bought a place of her own. The room is available from 1st August but we can be flexible for the right person!

A little about the house... 🏡

It’s a 3 bedroom privately owned Maisonette in Balham, 7 minute walk to Balham tube station and a 4 minute walk from Wandsworth Common station. Also the added bonus that we are a short walking distance to Wandsworth, Tooting and Clapham Commons!

The house is really bright and spacious. It has a large shared living room with dining table and L shaped sofa, a separate kitchen, downstairs toilet and a bathroom upstairs with a shower/bath. There is plenty of storage here, (which is unusual for London!) and loads of communal space. The 3 bedrooms are situated upstairs in this 2 floor maisonette.

The room is a bright double and comes furnished with a bed, in-built double wardrobe, drawers, bedside table and full length mirror - we've included pics of how different people have had the room set up so you can see the size properly. The room is £814 a month & bills come to around £80 a month, including a cleaner every couple of weeks. There’s also a free private parking spot.

The Landlord is great, she leaves us to ourselves but also will do anything quickly if needed! Jo has lived in the house for over 2 years and Brianna about 18 months. We both love the place!

A little about us…

We are Jo and Brianna! Jo usually WFH a few days a week and Brianna works on site all week as she is a teacher.

Jo - works in marketing, from Scotland, been in London about 10 years
Brianna - works as a secondary school teacher, from New Zealand, and has been in London 7 years

We both equally enjoy a good drama series/ documentary as much as we love a trashy reality show (hello MAFS), all about balance. We enjoy the usual things such as, socialising, going for dinner, working out, the odd drink or two after work and especially spending time outside on the nearby commons (when the weather allows!)

We are looking for someone 30-35 to join us in our relaxed home. We are looking for someone to hang out with, as well as a housemate, whether heading to the local pub (there’s loads of great ones around there) or chilling in front of the TV.
