Bright and cozy room in the heart of Battersea

Hey Londoners, one of our flatmate is moving out of the beloved bright and cosy room in Battersea in September and looking for someone for replacement .

It's a lovely south facing room, so it gets lots of natural light in the morning and throughout the day. It's a little on the cosy side, but don't let looks deceive you as it has tonnes of storage space, with built-in bookshelves and wardrobes, and enough room for a desk.

The flat itself is a real gem, with two floors, a large shared living area, a garden with a barbecue, and a kitchen that's big enough for everyone to cook in at the same time. It's also in a brilliant location, close to Battersea Park and the river, with plenty of public transport options, including buses into Central, Peckham, South Kensington, Liverpool St, the overground from Clapham Junction and Battersea Park, as well as the Northern line from Battersea Powerstation.

There's a small Co-op, Tesco and Sainsbury's nearby, or if you're looking to do a big shop there's a Lidl, Asda, Waitrose and M&S in Clapham Junction, which is roughly 20 minutes walk away. The area is an understated spot for food and drink options, with loads of great cafes, pubs and restaurants to choose from close by.

Who you'll be sharing with:

Saira - an avid writer and political communications pro with a talent for cooking delicious food.

Santi - an interior designer with a passion for travel, architecture and Italian design.

Both are great listeners who can get along and have a laugh with anyone. We're fairly sociable as a flat and tend to watch movies or share the occasional meal if we're all in, but we all have fairly busy lives with different schedules, so also respect each other's downtime.

Rent is £790 per month and goes out on the 21st of each month.

We split the bills, which come to roughly £130 each per month.

You'll be taking on the remainder of the contract, which renews in April 2027 - although you are able to move out at any time provided you give two months' notice and find a replacement tenant. That said, we are ideally looking for someone long term, who wants to settle in and treat this place like a home for a year or more.
