Description
Looking for a flatmate who’s more like a kindred spirit. A real home, not just a place to crash.
THE HOME
It's a 2 bedroom new-build flat, near the top of the apartment block so offers incredible views of South London and Battersea Park from the (very large) balcony. That flat is south facing so all rooms are showered in sunshine every day.
The kitchen and sitting area is open-plan. The kitchen is fully stocked - you won't need to bring any utensils etc - and has a dishwasher, washing machine, smoothie machine and more.
We have 1 shared bathroom. It’s equipped with a bath that is also a shower, large sink, toilet, heated towel rack, and big mirror.
The flat is designed to feel beautiful, comfy, and full of character. Think handmade jigsaw table, an African chief chair, and a large library.
The vibe is calm, cosy, and nourishing—with occasional bursts of joyful chaos when friends come over for a themed dinner. The home is ideal for someone who enjoys quiet evenings with books or tea, values connection, and is open to occasional dinner parties, deep convos, or spontaneous creativity.
There is no parking. Bicycles can be stored in a locked room in the basement.
THE ROOM
The room is reasonably sized, looking out onto the balcony. It has a double bed, 3 part wardrobe, a desk and one chest of drawers. So plenty of storage space. The curtains are blackout (so you will sleep well!).
LOCATION
The postcode is SW11 8EP London, UK. I'm right in the heart of London - in zone 1. We are walking distance to 3 tube and rail links, so you can get most places centrail in under 30 minutes.
- 5-10 mins walk to Battersea Power Station Underground, Battersea Park Rail and Queenstown Road Rail.
- 5-10 min bus to Sloane Square Tube Station
- 15-minute cycle to Hyde Park
- Under 5 mins walk to Battersea Park (which is large and beautiful to hang out in and incredible to have so closeby!).
FINANCIALS
- The room is £1250
- Bills are £150 each month (wifi, electricity, heating, water, council tax) + £20 each for a fortnightly cleaner.
YOUR FLATMATE - Georgie
I’m curious and playful, and I deeply value authenticity, aliveness, and meaningful connection. I love learning, growth, exploring and experimenting in the world. Some of my loves: deep conversation, reading (and collecting) books, asking questions, contact Improvisation and Brazilian zouk dancing, skiing, nature and outdoor sports, galleries, meditation, circling, singing circles and jamming, and exploring other countries.
I've had an eclectic work history and in the last few years, I have mostly been following my own curiosity which has led me into entrepreneurship, facilitation, experience design, coaching, design and research (PhD) pursuits. I generally have a number of projects on the go simultaneously. Right now I'm interested in designing transformational experiences, and for human connection.
I love humans, and I'm big on community building so like to host themed gatherings at home to connect people in a meaningful way.
Pros of living with me:
- We'll never run out of conversation provided you're happy to talk about almost anything!
- Excellent book collection
- Super tidy/clean
- I'm honest and reliable
- Self-aware and attuned, so I can listen deeply and hold space well
- I like hosting meaningful and nourishing gatherings for interesting friends which I'd love you to join
YOU
If you light up at the idea of meaningful conversations, co-created gatherings, and a home that feels soulful—you’ll probably love it here.
I'm looking for someone who is kind, curious, interesting, optimistic and generally fun to spend time with.
This probably isn’t the right fit if…
- You aren’t willing to keep communal spaces clean and tidy. I have high cleanliness standards and don’t want this to be a source of tension.
- You are noisy in the late evenings or early mornings (getting good sleep is incredibly important. and the walls are not that thick).
- You’re uncomfortable with open, direct, and kind communication (e. g. discussing and resolving any discomforts that come up from living together).
- You’re just looking for a room, not a sense of home or shared connection. I'm looking for someone who wants to be a good friend, and co-create dinners and other events.
NEXT STEPS & AVAILABILITY
The room is available from early September. I am hoping to fill the room before 13th August before I head travelling.
If you're interested, email me with some info about yourself (see below) and we can arrange a viewing. Happy to answer any questions.
- Your name
- Desired move in date
- How long you would like to live here for (under 6 months, 6-12 months, 1 year+)?
