Belsize Park double 5 mins from Hampstead Heath

The flat: I’ve lived here for a year now with a friend who is now going travelling and leaving the flat permanently. We’ve both really loved living here and I’d love to find someone great to replace him.

It’s a 2 bedroom flat so you're just sharing with one other (me!) I pay a larger share of the rent (£1,065 pcm) for a larger room. The other room (pictured) for rent is £1,005 pcm. This will be fixed till next Aug as landlord just raised the rent. It has a double bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. We have a bathroom with a bath/shower and a combined living room kitchen space with a lil dining table, sofa, and a TV. We have a full size fridge / freezer which is super handy! Combined washer / dryer in the hall. Share of bills (council tax, energy, water, internet, contents insurance) comes to roughly £141 each per month. Deposit is £1,182.69 and new tenant must earn more than £32,000 p/a or have a guarantor. Move-in date 23rd Nov.

The flat is in good condition and is very light and airy. Your room faces away from the road so is nice and quiet. Biggest draw is definitely the amazing location! We’re just a 5 min walk from Hampstead Heath and 15 mins from the mixed ponds (which I love swimming in during warmer weather!) We live opposite the Stag which is a great pub and have lots of lovely other pubs nearby. Just up the road there’s a parade of shops and restaurants including an M&S, coffee shops, bakeries etc. We’re also really well connected (zone 2), just ten mins from Belsize Park (northern line) which gets you into central and runs all night on a weekend. About 6 mins walk away the Mildmay line can take you east (Camden, Hackney, Dalston etc) or out West towards Richmond / Kew.

Landlord operates through an agency who are great and very responsive to issues.

The flat probably wouldn’t suit someone who works from home most / all of the time just due to space constraints. However I have a desk in my room which you’d be more than welcome to use when I’m not there (I wfh 2 days sometimes 3 a week but am in the office the other days). My current flatmate works from home one day a week though and this has been fine - if I’m in he uses the kitchen table for working!

About me: I’m 30 years old and work as a journalist. I’m originally from Yorkshire and moved down to London two years ago for work.

I’d describe myself as very sociable and outgoing and would love to find a flatmate who is similar! As much as I do love a big night out / karaoke / too many wines every now and then I definitely find the hangovers more difficult than I used to and am also a big fan of wholesome fun: swimming outdoors, cooking, running, drawing / painting, going to galleries etc.

I’m often out of the flat on an evening and love a weekend away but do try to have one or two evenings in a week to just chill and would love a housemate I could hang with to watch telly / go for walks / pub / cook with when we’re both in! Myself and current flatmate have quite busy lives so we’ve found we get a nice balance between having the flat to ourselves and hanging out together.

Would to find someone I get along with, as well as someone who appreciates keeping things clean and tidy! I'm a vegetarian so it would be cool to live with another veggie/vegan though this isn’t essential.

I also have a boyfriend who stays over occasionally, and I often do weekends / nights at his. My current flatmate has a partner too - so obvs totally cool if you do as well! We usually just try to let each other know our plans re friends / partners staying so it doesn’t get too cramped.

Essentially just looking for someone kind, tidy and fun to move in so please get in touch if you think you’d fit the bill!
