Bright and airy flat with balcony

Room going in a lovely flat just off Bermondsey Street.

I'm moving in with my girlfriend, so my room's up for grabs. I've lived here since I moved to London almost 5 years ago and it's been a great place to live, in a great location, for a great price - hopefully it'll be the same for you!

The current tenants are both really easygoing and laidback, into an active lifestyle - one's Canadian, one's South African, both based here in London working in accounting and film & TV production.

The room itself is a really nice space - west-facing with loads of natural light through big windows, double bed with large storage in the room and an extra double cupboard available in the hallway. Room is on the opposite side of the flat to the other two rooms, so you get a bit of extra privacy and don't feel like you're on top of everyone. There's also a SW-facing balcony which gets plenty of afternoon/evening sun, which is great for a beer after work or dinner in the summer months.

Bathroom's shared with just one other person - she's female and very clean, so no worries there. House and building are both quiet, and the room itself is warm and well insulated so you're not battling drafts in winter.

Kitchen's got a fridge/freezer plus a separate extra freezer, and a dishwasher too, so no arguments over washing up.

Bills (utilities, council tax and internet) come to about £150 a month. Landlord lives close by and is always quick to sort anything out if it comes up.

Location is honestly one of the best bits - quiet side street, but Bermondsey Street is right there with loads of coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Borough Market and Maltby Street Market are both about 15 minutes away if you fancy a wander.

On the practical side, 1 and 188 buses stop less than 3 minutes' walk away and get you into central and north London easily, Borough station is about 10 mins on foot, and it's 15 mins to London Bridge. Two Sainsbury's Locals are within 5 minutes walk, Tesco Metro 5 minutes away and Lidl on Old Kent Road about 10 mins walk. Local GP surgery is also right on the doorstep.
