Double room in lovely Bethnal Green flat

Looking for someone to replace my current flatmate in a gorgeous 2 bed flat in an amazing Bethnal Green location.

The room available is a good-sized double room, furnished with a bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. There’s also space for a desk and chair, so it’s definitely WFH-friendly. Rent is £1155/month plus bills. The room is available from November 8th.

The flat is on the top floor (fourth floor) of a lovely Victorian mansion block, called the Waterlow Estate if you’re interested in its history! It’s a really light and airy flat, with gorgeous views overlooking Weavers Fields and central London (photo attached). It’s also great in the summer as you can open the windows on both sides and get a lovely cooling cross-breeze through the flat.

My favourite thing about the flat, though, is the location. Bethnal Green overground station (Weaver line) is at the end of our street and BG tube station (Central line) is 5 mins walk away! Whitechapel station is also less than 10 mins walk away. There’s so many nice cafés, restaurants, bars, shops, and parks in the area. Brick Lane is also only 10-15 mins walk away.

You’d be living with me, Jack, 28, a climate scientist working in London. I’m friendly, clean and sociable, and enjoy climbing, music/gigs, cooking, films, walks, and going out for drinks. I work from home 3 or 4 days a week, and I’m often out in the evenings climbing or hanging out with friends.

I’m looking for someone who’s up for a friendly and social vibe in the flat, but I’m also independent and respectful of people’s space. A bit of a cliché on here at this point, but it’s not really a party flat! I do like having people round for dinner/drinks occasionally, though, and would absolutely be up for hosting and getting to know your friends. We’ve also hosted a couple of birthday parties, but these are once or twice a year occasions.

I’m LGBT so would be looking for someone who is LGBT friendly, or even LGBT themselves (though this is absolutely not a requirement!).
