Description
This is a really lovely, bright four-bedroom flat, shared with two others. It has polished wooden floors, a newly renovated sunny kitchen, bathroom, and a separate living/dining area, so it never feels cramped. It’s a quiet end flat in a well-maintained block, overlooking trees, with secure entry and a lift.
We’ve been sharing rooms here for years, and almost everyone who comes to view says it’s the best they’ve seen on SpareRoom for the price. It’s a queer-friendly/LGBT+ household, with a relaxed, respectful and friendly atmosphere.
The room a good sized double room, great light, and space for a desk and bookshelf if you work from home. It comes with a large IKEA wardrobe, a proper bed with memory foam mattress, and plenty of storage for all your stuff.
The kitchen has just been fully renovated (new boiler, stove, oven, worktops and tiling). The rest of the flat is well put together, with a mix of mid-century and modern furniture, art, and all the cooking equipment you’ll need. There’s a big fridge, and everything is set up to be easy and comfortable to live in.
Although it’s a four-bedroom flat, it’s usually just three people living here. Everyone has different schedules and travels a lot, so it stays calm and never feels crowded (no bathroom queues).
Bills are a flat £100/month on top of rent (£1,140 total). This covers everything: council tax, gas, electricity, water, broadband, service charge, cleaning products, and a weekly cleaner. No variable bill panic later. The cleaner is great — full “hotel service” energy. The flat is very tidy, which we love.
Location-wise, it’s 7 minutes to Bethnal Green tube, with great bus connections (55, 8, 48, 26) and overground nearby. You’re right by Broadway Market, Columbia Road, London Fields, gyms, cafés, pubs, and loads of good food. Tesco and Sainsbury’s are both close.
You’ll be living with Francesca (she/her), a musician working across media, and Andrew (he/him), who works in brand PR. The house is social but not a party flat — more dinners, coffees, and the occasional glass of wine together, or with some friends.
We’re looking for someone friendly, considerate, and easy to live with — more about the right fit than anything else. It’s an LGBT+ flat, so we’re ideally looking for someone LGBT+ too, or someone very comfortable living in a queer household. If that’s not clear from your profile, please mention it in your message. No couples, sorry.
If it sounds like a good fit, get in touch.
Thanks, Andrew
