Description
Flatmate wanted for 3bed maisonette in the heart of Blackheath, to start a new tenancy, ideally from last week in July/beginning of August 2024.
Property:
Master bedroom with king size bed up for grabs on a quiet street, just a 3 minute walk from the amenities of Blackheath Village and train station with great links into London.
Current tenants are moving out at the end of June. Landlord plans to use the time in July to update downstairs carpet to wood flooring and refresh the paint. Sofas will also be replaced, most likely with large 3 seater rather than 2 sofas as shown currently.
Downstairs - Access to rear of property via communal security door and own front door.
Good sized lounge/dining room with access to south facing balcony (if a smoker only smoking outside).
Separate kitchen with fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.
Under stair storage.
Upstairs - Master bedroom with king size bed, wardrobe, shelving.
Second bedroom with double bed, shelving.
Third bedroom currently used as an office and wardrobe.
Bathroom with shower over bath.
Bills not included - Current tenant has advised me that bills come to approx. £200 per month.
Council Tax Band C - TBC
About me:
36F, professional, cat owner.
I am a bit of a homebody that is happy watching TV, reading, listening to music, playing board games and video games. I do an occasional bit of baking and would appreciate a taste tester. Comfortable to socialise, share meals and chat over a drink, but equally happy to keep to myself if that is preferred. I'm past the need to have loud parties, more just having a couple friends over every so often. I also have a partner that will be visiting who is respectful, and I will also be away visiting his place nearby.
I have a 15yo black cat that will be joining me. He is a chill cat, with old man tendencies that means he sleeps a lot. Pretty sure he thinks he's a human as he has no issues with other humans, but does not get on well with other cats/pets - so no other pets allowed, sorry.
.
I am flexible to either take the 2 smaller bedrooms or the master depending on your preference. The 2 rooms can work well to separate sleep/work areas if you are WFH, or master bedroom is great if you want more combined space (the 2 smaller rooms work out to around the same size as the master bedroom). I work at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich, so no WFH for me.
I've lived in the Blackheath area for nearly 2 years - I love it and keen to stay. It has a great feel of being out of the city but still with easy access to everything that London has to offer.
Amenities:
Great variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs in Blackheath, with Lewisham and Greenwich if venturing a little further.
I highly recommend 15 Grams for their coffee, Madeleine's for their crepes and ice creams!
Local pub is The Railway, pub quizzes and live bands every weekend. The Princess of Wales is also a lovely pub on the Heath, and Zerodegrees is the local microbrewery.
Sainsbury's/Lidl 15mins walk on Lee High Road, or M&S Food 25mins walk in Blackheath Standard, both easily accessible by bus. A choice of small convenience stores in Blackheath Village as well as an amazing butchers.
Trains:
London Bridge - 13mins
Waterloo East - 18mins
Cannon Street - 20mins
Charing Cross - 22mins
Victoria - 26mins
Buses:
54: Elmer's End - Beckenham - Catford - Lewisham - Blackheath - Charlton - Woolwich
89/N89: Lewisham - Blackheath - Charlton - Oxleas Wood - Welling - Bexleyheath - Barnehurst - Slade Green
108: Lewisham - Blackheath - North Greenwich - Bow Church - Stratford
202: Blackheath Standard - Blackheath - Lee - Catford - Sydenham - Crystal Palace
Thanks for taking the time to read, don't hesitate to ask me more about the flat or myself - I'm sure I've forgotten some things
Vicki
