It's only about a 7 min walk to Blackheath station with regular and direct links to London Bridge (12 mins), Charing Cross (25 mins), Victoria (25 mins) and the DLR (5 mins).
Greenwich Park is a lovely 10 mins walk across the heath with all the heritage and action you could wish for!
There are no shoes worn inside so please don't apply if that would be a hassle for you...
