Description
The Room
Spacious double room with double bed, wardrobe, desk and drawers. It’s hard to photograph well so please do drop me a message and come over to view the room and the flat.
The Flat
• The flat is sunny and spacious, filled with plants and mid-century furniture.
• The kitchen and living rooms space are connected but have a small wall between them.
• Small balcony with table and chair which is a nice place to sit on sunny days
• Small functional bathroom and kitchen with dining wear and cookware available for use.
• Flats on 4th floor of low-rise block alas there is no lift. I know and have great relationships with all the neighbors, and we have a block WhatsApp group which you can join if you want to.
• All bills included including Council Tax, Water, Internet, Tv License, Netflix, Now and Paramount and Who gives a crap toilet roll subscriptions. I’ll also make sure there is always soap, washing up liquid and will clean the flat weekly.
About me
I’m a live in landlord and love the flat to be a calm oasis where I enjoy cleaning and batch cooking while listening to podcasts, watching films and TV series when I find a good one and looking after the plants. I took voluntary redundancy back in May and am currently doing some freelance work from home on top of job hunting from the flat though my aspiration would be to work from home no more than twice a week.
I’m early to bed and early to rise type and usually start my days with pilates, running or swimming at London Fields Lido. I’ll usually be up by around 6:30 am and in bed reading by around 9:30 -10 pm.
I’m a film fanatic who is currently trying to get out to the cinema several times a week and am always looking for people to take along. I occasionally have friends over for dinner but more often meet people out and about. I’m trying to take a more active role in activism for Palestine, Climate Change and Anti hate as I’m very saddened by so much of what’s happening right now.
Flat mate
I would really like whoever takes over the room from my current lodger to treat the flat like a home. I’m keen to accommodate your needs and schedules, share the spaces and possibly share a meal or film now and then. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who doesn’t work from home more than twice a week and who is happy to give me a heads up before inviting friends over. I’m single and would be happy to share with someone in a relationship but I would rather they didn’t have their partner staying over multiple times a week.
The Location
The flat is right at the heart of a series of amazing parks and a network of canals. The flat is about a 5-minute walk from Victoria Park, 10 mins from the Olympic park, 15 mins from Mile End Park.
A series of really lovely short walks or cycles through these parks and canals gets you to Hackney Wick, Broadway Market, Hackney Central and Columbia Road (where there is an incredible flower market every Sunday).
There are a loads of local bus stops which take you anywhere in London you want to go for £1.50 as well as lots of Santander Bike Stands. The tube is only a 15 minute walk away at Bow Road.
If you own your own cycle I have an available space in a cycle hanger about 5 minutes walk from the flat available for your use.
If your interested drop me a message and I can arrange a viewing.
