Description

The flat

The flat is located on the second floor of a modern apartment block (with fob-entry & lift). It has two double bedrooms (one with an en-suite — this would be yours), an open-plan kitchen/living area, a utility room with a washing machine, a shared sun space and my bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher.

The room

The room is bright and cosy, with a door opening onto the shared sun space. The sun space is also accessible from the living area, so there’s no need to walk through the bedroom.
The room comes furnished with a double bed, bedside table, built-in wardrobe, and a private en-suite shower room. There’s also space for a small desk if needed. The photos were taken before the current flatmate moved in.

The area

Brixton is lively and full of great places to eat, drink, and explore. Brixton Village and Pop Brixton are both around a 10-minute walk away, and The Ritzy cinema is about 10–15 minutes on foot.
Brockwell Park and Clapham Common are both nearby and easy to reach on foot or by bus.
There are several local supermarkets close by, with a large Tesco and Lidl around a 15-minute walk away.

Transport

The flat is a 7–10 minute walk from Brixton station (Victoria line) and around 15 minutes from Stockwell and Clapham North stations (Northern line).
There are also plenty of bus routes nearby, with stops just 2–3 minutes from the flat.

Bills

Bills are not included in the rent and currently come to around £170 per person per month (depending on usage). This covers electricity, heating and hot water, water, council tax (Band D), TV licence, and internet.

The flatmate / vibe

You’ll be living with me — a German professional working in digital. I’m friendly, considerate and fairly introverted. I really value having a calm, comfortable home. I enjoy the occasional shared meal, chat, or movie, but I also respect and appreciate having our own space.

I met my current flatmate through SpareRoom and we became really good friends, which has made living here especially nice.

This isn’t a party flat and would suit someone who’s looking for a relaxed, low-key living environment. I’m looking for someone tidy, respectful of shared spaces and considerate of others.

I currently work from home three days a week, so I’d ideally be looking for someone who isn’t also working from home full-time, though there is space for a small desk in the room if needed.
Ideally, I’m looking for someone planning to stay medium to long term (6–12 months+).

If this sounds like a good fit, please get in touch and tell me a bit about yourself - I’d love to hear what you’re looking for in a home and flatmate.
