I am renting out a small yet nice and cozy room, from 18 July until 18 August, as a short-term let in my sunny Brixton flat. It comes with a standing desk and is available for £780. It is the perfect place for someone who has just arrived in London or is in some in-between situation.

You can of course use the communal living room/open-plan kitchen space, with direct garden access.

The flat has underfloor heating and a generally very warm and modern feel to it. In the summer, there is the sun from early morning until 4 pm afternoon. It is close to Brixton center, with many great eating places and parks around.

10 mins from Brixton Village Food Market and Brixton Jamm just next door. There is a vegan shop & restaurant just in front of the flat, a Co-Op Mini Supermarket as well as the Crown & Anchor, a cute pub. There is also Slade Gardens, a nice little park with an outdoor gym. Gymgroup and Pure Gym, are both are also very close. Elephant & Castle gyms (Weekending, Unit 11) aren't far either to reach by bus or bike.

There are really excellent transport links nearby to Central London (Victoria Line from Brixton or Stockwell) or East London (with Northern Line from Oval to Old Street). There is also a bus stop next door (133/ 59/ 169/415/ 3) which runs buses literally every 2 mins to get you really anywhere.

I have rented out the rooms on occasion and have met many great people and had good experiences. While the flat is small it has a great cut and offers privacy when you want it and open space if you want to have a chit-chat.
