Description
Hello!
We are looking for a new flatmate to move in to our cute Victorian terrace in central brixton.
The house is two minutes from the station and a stones' throw from the high street. We have a garden, wooden floors throughout, and a big old fashioned bathtub! No living room (sorry!) but we use the kitchen and the garden as our communal space, which is perfect when it's sunny (not getting much use at the minute). Green fingered flatmates most welcome!
As for the room itself - it enjoys a south facing window onto the garden, as well as a fireplace, and comes furnished with a bed, small fitted wardrobe, and desk. Like the rest of the house, it's small, but has nice original features.
Housemates are, Polly, 32, currently working as a civil servant, Rose, 32, an antiques dealer, and Alberto, 32, who works in publishing. Interests and activities include, art, film, books, gardening, cycling, bouldering (!), upholstery, occasional house tarot sessions (!), and sporadically sitting around the fire pit with a beer or two.
We are a relaxed and friendly bunch; we have our own schedules but get on really well, We enjoy catching up in the kitchen, watching movies, and grabbing a drink at our local, but also like our own space.
We are looking for a like-minded, laid back person, with a good sense of humour, who has a mature approach to sharing space. The house is small and fairly old, with lots of character, but it does have its quirks. We like to keep it fairly tidy but are not clean freaks, so would want someone on the same page.
The boring bits: the rent is £685 a month with all bills included (our bills have been increasing this year so this may go up by a couple of quid at some point, still incredibly cheap however!!) plus a £600 deposit.
Ideally the new flatmate would have to be able to start paying rent from January 15th, although our former flatmate is happy to leave on January 1st, so if you need an earlier move in date, we can also arrange that.
If you're interested, get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself - we'll be contacting people via whatsapp to organise viewings etc.
*** please don't message us just to ask if the room is still available, we don't have time to reply to everyone, really sorry, but we want to know a bit about you, so please give us some info!! ***
