Description
I am sadly moving out of this flat as I have been a big girl and bought a flat! So it's with bittersweet emotions that I am leaving this lovely lovely flat. Free from mid-October and can be flexible on move in dates! All info below and hoping to do viewings this week or next so drop us a message if you’re interested! ✨
About us:
We’re a group of girls in our mid-20s who love living together and are definitely friends not just flatmates! There's normally someone in the living room to debrief on work drama and share a glass of wine with. We all have our own lives and friends, and can definitely have our own space in the flat too, but make a point of doing things together, especially on birthdays/ Christmas/ galentines etc 🤍
Having a tidy and clean place to live is important to all of us - we clean as we go.
Boring bits:
Rent + Bills comes to approx £950 per person - this includes council tax, all utility bills and broadband.
Our landlord Jon doesn't live in London but he's easily contactable and has a crew of handymen who come out to solve any issues.
The Room
The room is on the second floor and is a great size with plenty of storage. Bonus - on the back of the house so you avoid the road traffic! It's got a built in wardrobe and comes furnished with a bed and dresser. Plenty of room for a desk and we also have plenty of communal space which we share when working from home.
The House
The house is a three-story, four bedroom, two bathroom property. It has high ceilings, big windows and lots of cupboards. We have a spare room/office which is super handy for weekend visitors, working from home, hanging washing etc. We also have a lovely little balcony big enough for table and chairs, perfect for a couple of drinks or al-fresco dining in the summer.
We have a washing machine and tumble dryer, dish washer and all the usual appliances/crockery - so there's no stress about bringing your own!
The Location
We’re right on bus and night bus routes, ten minute walk from the Victoria line (Brixton Underground) and two minute walk from Loughborough Junction station (Thameslink). There’s a Tesco express dangerously close, essentially making this an extension of our kitchen. This has been an absolutely lifesaver for last minute ingredient dashes. We also have larger supermarkets including Morrisons, Lidl, Tesco and Sainsbury’s all within a 15-20min walk.
We are on a main road, which means that it is not totally silent at night, but it's rarely an issue and we usually feel completely safe walking home - it's so well lit and there are always people about.
All the delights of Brixton are 10mins away including Brixton Village, POP Brixton, Brockwell and Ruskin Park, Herne Hill Market and more. Your deliveroo options are genuinely limitless.
If you’re interested, please get in touch with some info about yourself!
We’ll arrange viewings with as many of us around as possible, preferably this week and next, and if needed we can absolutely set up video calls. Once the girls have decided we’ll link us all into a big email with the landlord to sort necessary paperwork.
More Boring Bits
You’d replace myself on the contract and the arrangement has always been that if you want to leave, then you just need to find someone to replace yourself making it super flexible and convenient. You’d have to pay a £200 holding deposit to confirm you’re definitely good to go, then the deposit gets paid to me and the landlord switches your name onto the contract/damage deposit certificate - there's a £50 fee which you cover when you move in.
If you sound like a good fit please get in touch!! 🤍
