Description

Vacancy at an amazing flat in Brixton!

Hey everyone! - we’re forming a new household looking for a groovy fourth member.

The people:

Harry (26) is a literary boy who works for a publishing company and likes to use obscure words unironically. He’s into high culture things like he went and saw Wicked the Musical the other day with his mum and thought it was alright. He’s got witty remarks and dumb things to say in equal measure so always exciting staying tuned. Has a big variety of cool shoes.

Robin (27) studies Theatre Design and is moving into the really big bedroom with this whopping desk which he’ll make his work bench for models. You might be able to help out if you show to be responsible holding stuff. Really easy to talk to and open minded to anything. Seemingly only owns one pair of shoes.

Me (26) - I’ve lived here 6 months and am friends with the other two who, at time of writing, are just about to move in and haven’t even met each other. I work for a refugee charity, eat veggies, and ask people to play board games w me.

We are looking for a female to balance out the house, easy going and up for a joke. We all live pretty busy lives and are up for including one another in whatever London things we get up to so are looking for someone with their own cultural interests who is on the same page. We like to keep a tidy/respectful/care free space.

LGBTQ+ friendly

Location:

Brixton Hill - The neighbourhood is quiet despite being a stones throw away from the main high street, and all neighbours are equally respectful. Brixton is a thriving environment filled with diversity, music and food - so much fun at your doorstep! Brockwell park is also a 10min walk away, and we’re 5 minutes from a gym. There are many supermarkets, pubs, bars and various shops within a 15min walk radius (Tesco, Sainsbury and Lidl), and we are a 20 min walk from Clapham Common.

We have a spacious 4 bedroom flat with a living room, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 storage room, 1 balcony, and a large shared garden. The flat is a 15min walk from Brixton tube station and a 1min walk from the bus stop on the main road which connects you to London Bridge and Central London. Our flat is categorised as a council tax band A.

When:

Move in date would be 01/06/24 onwards (let me know if you want to move in earlier or later)

The room:

£680 pm + bills (approx £70 - £100pcm) - deposit £800. The rent will rise by £20 from August on a new 1 year contract.

A 7 square metre bedroom with a large window, 8ft tall cupboard with a built in mirror, 2 wall shelves, an alcove with 3 shelves and a double bed - unfortunately there is not enough space for a desk, however the living room is available for working during the day.
