I will be subletting my room from the 1st of July to the 1st of September. No deposit will be needed as I’m trying not to go through my landlord and instead, rent will be paid directly to me.
Room:
The room is a big double facing the back of the house, bed and wardrobe and desk are included. The window looks out on the garden and conservatories next door. This room has the most natural light in the house.
The House:
The place is a 3 bed maisonette. It has an upstairs and downstairs toilet, a communal kitchen, living room and has a really big private garden. The house has good natural lighting and has a lot of greenery.
The rent:
The rent is £850 per month, for two months this is £1700. This doesn’t include bills.
Bills come to around £100/120 per month but this usually depends on readings and is usually lower in the summer than the winter.
Bills include:
Electricity & gas (around £55)
WiFi (around £10)
Water (around £20)
Council tax
The location:
The location is 10 minutes by bus from brixton tube station. Brixton has the Victoria line (A tube line that gets you to central in 15 minutes), it has good overground, train and bus connections. The house is technically directly between brixton tube station and Tulse hill station (both 10 minutes by bus). The house is also extremely close to brockwell park so also has a lot of good green space. We also have a tesco express 5 minutes away, and sainsburys and a co-op about 10 minutes away.
Roommates:
As I will be the one moving out, the two roommates that are currently living here are Salha and George. George works in the civil service (he works from home a couple of days a week from his room) and Salha is a DnB DJ. Both people are wonderful and very kind, we tend to live quite busy lives but are all friends and any new roommate will be given a very warm welcome.
All in all, it’s just a very normal household and I hope you end up loving it as much as I and all the previous tenants have also.
