Hey there,
We’re a house of 4 people looking for one more person to join us as our housemate sadly downsizes to a new flat in Brixton. We’re looking for someone to move in around 1-6 March.
About the house:
The house is on a quiet residential road and is well located for Victoria and Northern lines, as it is super close to Brixton station, and only a 10 minute walk from Stockwell and Clapham North. It’s very close to local shops (5/10 mins walk to the centre of Brixton), and lots of local pubs nearby.
We’ve got a really spacious living area, complete with a modern kitchen, living room and dining room. (We also have the highly coveted dishwasher, dryer and two fridge freezers.) It’s an ideal place for someone who wants a sociable and homely place to live. There’s also a garden that’s great for bbqs in summer.
The room itself is a very large double room and comes furnished with a double bed, two wardrobes, a bedside table, and a chest of drawers.
The boring bits:
Rent is £945 a month and bills are roughly £100 a month. Our landlord is a very relaxed local family, and tends to sort any major issues we have had quickly. We’re about to sign on to a year contract ending in March 2026 (though the landlord is super chill and people have the option to leave before the year is up!). Deposit is £950.
Who you'll be living with:
We’re a group of friends who all love living in a big house. Some of us have lived together for a couple of years, with our newest members joining in October last year. We are all pretty chill and love the benefits of shared living. We all chip in to keep the place clean and tidy. We're a communal house, sharing a big weekly shop for food and cleaning products which makes things much cheaper 😀. We cook together for half the week (a big bonus is coming back after a busy day to a tasty meal!) and 3 of us are veggie so all our communal meals are veggie too 🥦. Although there's no problem having meat in the house!
We love hanging out as a house - whether that’s watching shit tv, going to the local pub or a house trip to do something fun. At the same time, we respect each other's space and are often out and about doing other things so there’s no pressure to join in all the time!
