I'm sadly moving out as I'm moving in with a partner, so looking for a replacement for me in our lovely flat home. The 2 existing flatmates and friendly & independent professional ladies (Irish and Australian) who are both up for a good chat but also mostly do their own thing. The flat is generally a peaceful vibe & everyone are on slightly different sleep schedules so tend to be really respectful with noise early/late (all roughly 10pm-7amish +/- a couple of hours) . Also haven't had any issues with noise from neighbours, who have all been really friendly. Looking for someone similar - respectful, friendly, tidy, chill at home. There is a cleaning roster for the flat common areas so the load is shared.
The room is a (genuinely) large double and can come with the Bed, Drawers, and Wardrobe (optional- I bought these off the last flatmate but happy to leave them behind for free). The furniture is well used but still fully functional, and the mattress is still comfy. The shared flat space has a separate kitchen with a balcony, living room, and one bathroom, all decent sized.
The flat is not suitable for those working from home full-time, or students.
Landlord is super chill and friendly, and fixes things quickly. References and bank statements will be required upfront.
Really great deal on price for what you get. The walk to brixton station is 5-10 minutes ( there's a shortcut once you have a key). The current contract is until End of March, but both the landlord and the current flatmates are looking for someone wanting to renew and stay on for at least a year to next March. Current flatmates have been in for 10 years and 1 year ( with the previous leaving flatties having been there for around 4 or so years). The Landlord and flatmates will have a preference for someone that wants to stay on long term.
Bills are around ~£80 a month for energy/gas, water and WiFi, and council tax around £50 a month (Council tax band B). The deposit is 5 weeks rent (for some reason I couldn't enter the full value in the deposit box - it's about £920) , and rent is due in advance each month, at the start of the month.
Looking for someone to move in from Mid Jan, but I can be flexible.
