Large ground-floor double room (3.5m x 4m+, high ceilings), in lovely, large Victorian terrace house in quiet low-traffic neighbourhood street off Brixton Hill, 10 mins walk, 3 mins by (frequent) bus from Brixton tube/15 mins' walk from Herne Hill overland station and 5 mins from Brockwell Park (great for jogging, also the lido). Largish Sainsbury's 3 mins' walk. I'm the owner. I'm from York originally, a lawyer, am looking for two new housemates over the coming months, so there will be three of us (as I have two rooms available but want to fill the current one first, the other later in 2025), Looking for male or female but sorry, no couples. The room has a double bed, wardrobe, bookshelves, desk. High ceilings with original cornicing. Painted white. Traditional fireplace (now decorative only, there are two radiators). The rent includes all bills. You'll also be able to use the living room and dining room (both pictured) and there is a kitchen (pictured) and utility room with drying space. Two bathrooms. Private garden at the back (see picture), with a table and chairs out in the summer.. Parking on the street (permits sold by the council). Not a party house! Looking for somebody self-contained, quiet, tidy. Working from home two days per week maximum. As for me: I am busy and live my own life but enjoy good conversation and previous housemates were similar. We occasionally shared a meal or went out for a drink together. My main hobbies are languages and travel. Also very interested in current affairs. Room available early Jan 25.
