Cosy and Affordable Double Room in St Johns/Deptford/Brockley Area

For the girlies! We are looking for a new housemate in our beautiful flat in SE4: £615 rent per month, bills roughly £115 per month, move-in flexible but end of December at the latest.

The Flat
Spacious flat with high ceilings and a beautiful interior. Fully fitted kitchen and bathroom, plus a gigantic living room. Two floors with all four bedrooms upstairs.

Flat is located on a main road which is great for transport links - St John’s station is only a five minute walk away (regular 8 minute trains to London Bridge), Deptford Bridge DLR a 9 minute walk away, New Cross overground 15 minutes walk and Brockley overground 18 minutes walk. Close to lots of great local amenities - 10 minutes from Deptford High Street, less than five minutes to Brockley Market every Saturday morning, 10 minutes to New Cross and less than a 20 minute walk (or 5 minute bus) into Lewisham Town Centre. Gorgeous Hilly Fields only a 10 minute walk which is great in the summer!

The room is on the south side of the house with lots of natural light through the day. This is the side of the flat facing the road so there is a bit of background noise from traffic but no rowdyness from the street. My room is also on this side of the flat and I have been happy here for over a year :)

The Gals
You would be living with

Edie (32): Resident artist, cat parent to Ginge and Luna, waitress, painter and decorator, all-round fun and fabulous babe. 👽

Becky (25): Venue Manager, Caribbean Cook expert, Shrek enthusiast, certified angel. 💚

Cat (35): Women’s Service manager, politics nerd, dad-joke comedian, seasoned professional at falling asleep on the sofa. 💅🏼

Ginge and Luna (7): Jobless freeloaders who nonetheless rule the flat. Ginge is a very friendly boy, Luna is a little more reserved but both are very much a part of the flat family and if you don’t like cats this definitely isn’t the place for you - they make the rules! 🐈 🐈‍⬛

We are in regular contact with the other two flats in the building, which are also full of lovely people.

Who We’re Looking For
The tenancy is for 12 months so we are ideally looking for someone who wants to settle down for a while and make the flat their home (although of course if circumstances change our landlord is flexible about roommate changes). We are a flat of girls and would prefer to stay this way, although some of us have (lovely!) boyfriends visiting regularly so it isn’t a 24/7 female only space. Our landlord is strict about there being no smoking inside the flat but smokers welcome as long as they’re happy to smoke outside. Ginge and Luna are strict about their alpha status so unfortunately we can’t accept any new pets.

We are all busy bees with work and other commitments so we value a clean and calm space to live in - we are looking for someone who will help us maintain a nice living space and who is a friendly vibe when we do happen to be in at the same time. We have friends round for dinner and hangs semi-regularly and all like to go out, but as a general rule we prefer not to host the afters. Basically we’re fun, but we’re considerate - making sure everyone can feel comfortable in their home is a priority! Even though we’re all busy we do know eachother well and make an effort to be friendly when we see eachother rather than just being strangers who say hello in the hallway - we’re looking for someone we can get to know who would like to get to know us too 💕.
