I’ve lived in Camberwell for 14 years and completed a renovation of my architect-designed home in 2022. I am a resident landlord offering a spacious, furnished double bedroom with a separate adjoining study on the top (4th) floor to a single lodger under a Licence to Occupy agreement.

The bedroom is bright and generously sized, furnished with a king-size bed. Opposite is a private study with desk and storage, ideal for reading or quiet work. The adjacent bathroom (with shower) is shared with one other lodger. The top floor layout offers a good degree of privacy from the rest of the house.

The house is warm, modern and light-filled. There is a fully equipped kitchen, utility room with washing machine, high-speed internet and an occasional cleaner. All household bills are included.

This is a friendly, well-run family home rather than a flatshare. I’ve had lodgers for many years and the arrangement tends to work smoothly, with people often staying around a year or more.

The room suits someone fairly self-contained who values their own space and a calm environment. It works particularly well for someone with a busy or travel-based role who wants a consistent London base. Quiet evenings and consideration in shared spaces are important.

Within easy walking distance of King’s College Hospital (KCH), University of the Arts London (UAL) and Denmark Hill station (direct services to Victoria and connections on the Windrush line). Ruskin Park and Camberwell Church Street are also close by.

£1300 per month. All bills included. Single occupancy. Licence to Occupy agreement. References may be requested. Viewings Saturday afternoons. Available from March 28th.
