Description
I’m looking for a friendly, tidy and considerate professional or student to share my two-bedroom flat in Canada Water. My current flatmate is moving to Oxford at the end of December, so the room will be available from 1st January, with some flexibility on the move-in date.
The Room
The room is a good-sized, furnished double bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and two bedside drawers. There’s a large window that lets in plenty of natural light, and you’ll have access to a separate bathroom.
The Flat
The flat has an open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area, with all the essential appliances, including a dishwasher. There are also two storage rooms, providing extra space to keep belongings. It’s located within a gated residential community with a concierge, making it a calm and comfortable place to come home to.
The Location
The flat is just a 5–7 minute walk from Canada Water station, with access to the Jubilee line and Windrush line.
London Bridge is just two stops away.
Canary Wharf is one stop away.
Surrey Quays shopping centre is around a 10-minute walk, with a large Tesco Extra.
There’s also a Sainsbury’s near Canada Water station.
The area has plenty to do, including nearby padel courts, a large Decathlon offering bookable activities, and a weekend food market.
It’s a great location for commuting while still enjoying a relaxed neighbourhood.
The Costs
Rent: £1,200 per month
Bills: Approximately £100 per month for energy and broadband
Council tax: Approximately £150 per month for your share (Band E)
Deposit: Five weeks’ rent, protected in a tenancy deposit scheme
Referencing will be handled by the landlord.
A Little About Me
I’m a 28-year-old Greek woman currently finishing my PhD at King’s College London. I’m usually out working in the lab rather than working from home. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, running along the Thames, cooking, reading and relaxing with Netflix.
I’m easy-going and like keeping shared spaces clean and tidy. I’m always happy to share a meal or have a drink together, but I also appreciate having my own space and downtime. I’d love to live with someone who feels the same way and wants a comfortable, friendly home.
Who I’m Looking For
Ideally, you’ll be:
Tidy, considerate and respectful of shared spaces.
A working professional or student.
Looking for a longer-term stay of at least 10 months.
A non-smoker, with single occupancy only
Someone with a hobby or interest we can have a good chat about!
If this sounds like the right fit for you, send me a message telling me a little about yourself, what you do, and when you’re looking to move in. I’d be happy to arrange a viewing!
Looking forward to hearing from you 😊
