Private Bathroom/ Double R/ Gym&Spa/ Canary Wharf

Hi all!! :)
First of all, If you are interested in the room, PLEASE read my ad, as I want to live with someone who cares about getting along with the flatmate/me as well as having a suitable room. Having said that, if you do want to see it, message me just a little bit about you and your day/time preference for a viewing.

My friend and flatmate found the love of her life, got married and is moving back to Madrid to live with her husband <3 at the end of November. So the ideal move in date would be 30 November / 1 December, but can be flexible.

The flat is rented by an agency who would manage the name change, contract, deposit, et. So i am a tenant and looking for someone to share the flat with me. Of course all bills names will be changed as well. I've been living here since 2020, and the agency & landlord have been quite nice and understanding thus far.

About the flat / room:
It is a 2 bed / 2 bathroom flat in Ability Place on the 9th floor. The room available is the smaller one, but it has the biggest bathroom (with bath & shower). It is small but cozy and has everything needed. The bed can be lifted and has storage underneath. The room does not fit a desk in it (maybe a small one potentially), but, as you can see in some of the photos, my previous flatmate used to work from the living room (the standing desk from the living room was his and taken away but included in the photos for reference). I have my desk in my room and keep busy with work / appointments etc so we haven’t found this to be a problem - and he worked 100% from home. There is a kitchen/living room with pretty much everything needed.

There is 24/7, super friendly, concierge, a spa with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna as well as a fully equipped gym which is actually quite big if compared to other resident-only gyms. It is also open everyday, 6am - 11pm which is quite good. There are options for treatments, such as massage as well as personal training etc (Note the Jacuzzi / parts of the spa are being repaired at the moment). There are also lockers on the ground floor for dry cleaning pick-ups. It is 3-4 mins walk from South Quay DLR and about 10-12 minutes from Canary Wharf Station. There is a small Tesco and a Tian Tian supermarket right next door within seconds walk, as well as a Waitrose 10 mins walk or so.

The landlord has always been reasonable (on the nice side to be honest) with rent prices. For instance, they have not increased the price this last year and at times when I’ve asked/negotiated for lower increases (remember post covid hikes?..) they also were understanding.

Bills are not included, but roughly they are per person per month: Council tax (band E): £90-100; Water £20-25; Wifi: we have Hyperoptic but the contract ended so we can renew it, i think they new one is £35 TOTAL per month; Electricity: £40-85 depending on the month (or oil prices wild swings every time Trump posts on social media xD - at least this has been so far). All in all I budget an average of £200 for bills, possibly a bit less in summer and a bit more in winter

About me:
I work in finance. I have been living in London for 10+ years and always shared flats. I am originally from Argentina (but I inherited an Italian passport - although i do NOT speak Italian, just Spanish and English =D ) I do like to spend time getting to know my flatmates and many of the ‘randoms’ I’ve lived with have become super close friends of mine. I am super friendly, social and easy-going, but equally respectful, clean and considerate of other’s space and privacy.

I had to fight cancer a couple of years ago, & its side effects of treatment quite a bit the past few years. I am in remission now for quite some time, and a LOT better with all but I still may have the eventual appointment here and there / check-ups, but nothing serious =) My family live in Argentina, so where I live and who I live with are very important to me, as this is my home, and hopefully will be yours too. Also, It is okay to have someone over every now and then, if you want (as long as we respect each other’s space & peace), but it is definitely not a party flat nor a room for a couple for more than just occasional visit every now and then as its not big enough for 3 people.

Even though I am in finance, I used to be a dancer before, so I love all sorts of dancing & yoga and I am also a fitness and mindfulness enthusiast. I am not a fan of cooking but I like being healthy so this forced me to find ways to make cooking easy, nutritious and efficient :) So I cook every now and then but I am not the type that will take over the kitchen ever haha. Finally, as i mentioned, I spent a few difficult years health-wise, which was tough, but out of it now and going back to all my ‘normal’ life 😊. I highly dislike drama and I love peace and good energy.

In a flatmate, I look for someone similar in terms of friendly and easy going but also respectful of each other’s spaces. No need for OCD but clean overall.
