Description
Offering a room for shorter term rents in a beautiful location on Chiswick Pier.
The previous owners were artistic, and although most of their stuff is gone, the interior is very nice, someone who stayed said it feels like 'a museum.'
We're renting out this room until it's sold, which will not be soon, (at least several months before it is even on the market, and probably quite some time).
Houseboat-specific details
The boat remains fully in the water at all times and is on the outer side of Chiswick Pier. Sometimes workboats will come and moor next to the boat - at the moment there is one that will be here for a month or so.
Generally there is some gentle rocking to be expected, particularly when a large boat comes past, at which point you should be sure not to have left a porthole open.
Due to the nature of boat life, occasional creaks and sounds of ducks and geese can be expected.
I'm living there at the moment, and can handle houseboat specific things: eg. refilling / emptying tanks and show you how to do them.
The other houseboat owners are friendly and helpful.
In the winter, it is warmed with stoves in both the kitchen and living room. Typically coal is burnt in them but wood can also be used.
There is no Wi-Fi there right now, but we can set it up as there is a phone line.
There are three bedrooms: two have double beds, and the third one has two beds. We are offering the one with the double bed shown in the photo.
Council Tax Band: A
