Double Room in Clapham Common, Available January

My friend is moving out to live with her boyfriend and I am looking for a female flatmate to fill her room.

I’m hoping to fill the room by 24 January, although there’s some flexibility if you’re looking to move in earlier. As there’s still a little time before the room becomes available, I’m happy to start chatting with people who might be interested!

THE FLAT:
The flat is in a great location in Clapham Common, with everything you need close by:

5 minutes’ walk to Clapham Common Underground station
5 minutes’ walk to Clapham Common itself
7 minutes’ walk to the Overground station
3 minutes’ walk to the nearest supermarkets

There’s a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, and the bedroom is also large. The flat originally came unfurnished, but there’s the option to buy the existing bedroom furniture if that would be helpful.

RENT & BILLS:
The current rent is £975 per month, plus bills. There will likely be a small rent increase in January. Last year, the increase was £5 per person per month, and I should have confirmation of the new amount by mid-November.

Bills and council tax (Council Tax Band B) currently come to around £170 per month, so the total monthly cost is approximately £1,145 at the current rates, subject to any rent changes.

ABOUT ME:
I’m 28 and work for an art gallery and art events company. I work a hybrid schedule, usually spending 3 to 4 days a week in person.

I’m friendly and sociable, and I’d love to live with someone who’s up for the getting to know each other, and the occasional movie nights and evenings hanging out together.
