Description
Newly refurbished, gorgeous double room with ensuite and desk, with far reaching views out over the skyline of London, in a huge flat with big sitting room and separate, eat-in kitchen.
This is us 👋
- Martine, Italian, 25, works for a company that provides language courses, adores London (who doesn't?!) and enjoys cooking.
- Charlotte - Dutch medical researcher, 33, plays the cello, likes board games, new to London
- Lee and Vicki – English, love travelling, cooking, chatting and have flat shared for many years
We are all outgoing, sociable people who like company and doing lots of things in this amazing city. Both Martine and Vicki cook a lot, and love having food and laughs around the dinner table.
The big kitchen and the sitting room will be shared by you, Martine and Charlotte, and then Lee and Vicki live somewhat separately at the top of the house with their own space. They’re not "separate" just a little "separated"!
Is this you? We really hope so! 🔎
We're looking for a sociable, happy, high-energy, tidy grown-up who wants to live in a home rather than an hotel. If you can cook, then you get extra points, if you think that London is an incredible city that's worth exploring, then double points. However, if you prefer to close your door to the world and live life online then this isn't the place for you. If you want a party house then this also isn't the place for you. This is absolutely a flat for non-smokers or vapers.
This is our home🏠
Your room is a great size (4m x 3m) with lots of storage in great big, well fitted out wardrobes which have 2m of hanging space and lots of drawers. Your ensuite has a big shower (90cm x 90cm) along with a toilet, basin and more storage. There's a comfy double bed, a desk for you WFH-ers which has wired gigabit ethernet access as well as wifi. We're at the top of Lavender Hill, so there's a view out of your window of the skyline of London which gives a lovely feeling of airiness and space and light.
We've also got a brilliant roof terrace. It's a perfect space to sit and read, see the sun over the city, bird watch, and for you gardeners, there are tubs!
The flat has a really homely feel with colour on the walls and lots of space. To help make your home life complete there's a big eat-in kitchen with good quality appliances (incl. dishwasher, microwave, Neff oven and Miele gas hob, washing machine and tumble dryer), as well as a large dining table. The sitting room is huge (8m x 5m), with what I think you’ll find to be the most comfortable, alluring sofas for movie nights. There's a 55" flat screen Virgin TV and the best diamante studded moose head in Clapham! The rest of the flat consists of three double, ensuite bedrooms, a guest toilet and a spare room which has another double bed and extra WFH space.
Where we are📍
Lavender Hill enjoys the benefits of good bus routes, Santander bikes opposite the flat and a safe, well-lit walk home. The flat itself is quiet (especially your room which is at the back of the house), and the buildings round about are residential. The flat is a 10 minute walk from Clapham Junction station, a transport hub for lots of day and night bus routes, trains and London Overground services to the City and north London. The tube is 15 minutes’ walk, or by bus from the stop a minute from the flat. The walk to the train station will take you past a huge 2-storey ASDA, Wholefoods, and lots of cafes (Il Molino, which is opposite, is the current house favourite), restaurants and shops. There are several gyms nearby (including the brand new, super posh Third Space), and Clapham Common is a four minute jog away for those of you who are enthusiastic runners. There's on-street, permitted parking.
Thanks for reading to the bottom! Do get in touch with any queries or to say hello and organise a viewing with Martine and Charlotte at the flat.
