I am renting out a large bedroom in a lovely maisonette flat located in Clapham junction.

The flat is a spacious recently renovated maisonette with a large living room and good-sized kitchen - it basically feels more like a small house rather than a flat. It’s located within a 5-minute walk of the well-connected Clapham junction station. There is a bus stop close to the flat which takes you to Clapham Common station in 5 minutes. Northcote Road is a 5-minute walk away where you’ll find bars, restaurants and shops. A large Asda supermarket is 2 minutes away. Everything you could need is within walking distance. Clapham Common is located immediately outside the flat which provides a great opportunity for sports, running or meeting up with friends in the summer months.

The room itself is fairly large and comes with a king size bed. During the day it gets lots of natural light, and during the night it’s a really quiet escape from the London noise. There is a bathroom immediately outside the bedroom. It’s not an en-suite but you’ll essentially have unhindered access to the shower in the mornings as there are other bathrooms in the flat. The room will be available from 11th July 2025 but I’m flexible on start date.

The rest of the flat is fully equipped. The living room has a very comfy loaf sofa, a large TV and a large dining table which is great for hosting dinners. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, a new oven and hob and air fryer. There’s also the benefit of super fast WiFi (1gbs) which is great for steaming or working from home.

You’ll be sharing with me, a 31-year old working as a solicitor in London. The rent is £1,200pm which includes all bills. The term can be fairly flexible but at the moment I’m looking for a fixed term of 6 months, with an option to extend it further with all being well. Ideal flatmate is someone clean, but most importantly respectful, and ideally a professional around my age. If you WFH then that’s not a deal breaker, but I would prefer to have a flatmate who spends more time in the office than at home. Hoping to build a social flat but I have my own social circles so it’s also important that you have some independence.
