Spacious double room with private bathroom – 5 mins walk from Clapham Junction station £1375pm

We’re looking for a couple (or a well-funded single!) to move into a spacious double room with private bathroom in our two-bedroom flat, just a 5-minute walk from Clapham Junction Station.

Move in August 25th!

Excellent Area:
There are great transport links to Waterloo, Victoria and across London from Clapham junction, it’s a great location for commuting anywhere, with three great parks (Clapham Common, Wandsworth Common, Wandsworth Park) in easy walking distance. Multiple bus routes are also right outside the flat. The flat sits on the 3rd floor of a four story building, in a mews right off the main street behind a gate and locked door. Landlord has been great at repairing and replacing stuff for the two years we’ve been here. Very easy access to nearby shops, with a Lidl/Asda 10 mins walks away and two Sainsbury’s locals 5 mins each away, as well as St John’s Hill high street and Northcote road both within ten minutes walk. There are ample cozy pubs, cute bars/cafes, and delicious restaurants in the area to choose from.

The room
- Spacious double room with its own bathroom (the main bathroom will be yours solely)
- Double wardrobe
- Plenty of space for a bed, and desk– ideal if you work from home.
- Large private bathroom with a bathtub/shower and plenty of storage.

The current tenants are moving into their own place and have kindly offered to leave the double bed, bedside tables, and chest of drawers free of charge.

The flat
The flat has a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with floor-to-ceiling windows that keep it bright year-round.
We get brilliant midday-evening sun. There’s also a generous outdoor deck with a BBQ, perfect for summer evenings and hosting friends. There is plenty of storage throughout too. Photos don’t quite do it justice but it’s very spacious and we really enjoy living here.

There is a one-off £150 per person buy-in for the shared furniture and household items (sofas, TV, etc.).

About us
We’re a Kiwi couple in our late 20s who are planning to stay in London long term.
Gray works in communications and public affairs for the construction industry and enjoys golf and a few beers.
Jenna is a TV news camera operator who loves cooking, reading and travelling.
We’re both fairly active and spend our time doing things like theatre and comedy shows, long-distance running, hiking and our local pub quiz. We enjoy catching up over a shared meal or heading to the pub together, but we’re equally happy doing our own thing. We’d love to live with friendly and sociable people, who are also tidy and respectful of shared spaces. We’re always keen to get out and about to explore new corners of London with new friends.

Costs

* Rent: £1375 per month + bills
* Bills are typically around £320 per month per couple, depending on the season.
* Deposit: £1,385
* There will be income or funds checks with the letting agency as well (or a guarantor if required).
