Description

Our houseshare is currently made up of 5 male working professionals in finance, consulting/marketing and sports. We all moved in together a few months ago but our housemate is being relocated to Paris with work. We like a good Sunday roast, going on bike rides/runs or relaxing with sport or a film on.

We live in a lovely Victorian house. As you enter there is a large lounge to the right, with a separate dining room towards the back. The kitchens look out onto the garden which has a plum tree, table & chairs, a bike shed and a separate seating area with outdoor sofas. There are lots of period features which give the whole house a very warm, homely feel. All the rooms on the ground floor have real wood floors with feature fireplaces in the lounge and dining room. There are 2 bathrooms in the house, one on each floor for convenience. Having 2 kitchens (one on each floor) makes the place a bit quirky but we prefer it as we have access to 2 cookers, 2 ovens, 2 sinks, 2 fridge freezers, and having the two separate areas makes it much easier for us to prepare food at the same time without being in each other’s way.

Your room would be the largest and has a double bed, mirror, bedside table, chest of drawers, wardrobe, shelves, storage space and a desk (if you would like it). The bedroom is plenty big enough to have a desk and work from home on it but you can also use the dining room for WFH if you prefer.

The house is on a very quiet street set back from Clapham Road and in a great location between Clapham North (7 mins walk) and Stockwell (6 mins walk) tube stations. Having access to the Victoria Line, Northern Line and the Overground (Clapham High Street) makes getting around really easy. Pre-Covid we would have caught the tube from Stockwell to avoid the massive rush at Clapham North during peak hours or used the cycle highway to get into the centre.

The Landor and The Clapham North are the closest local pubs. There are, of course, dozens of restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and take-aways on Clapham High Street. For food shopping
there’s a choice of Tesco or the Sainsbury’s Local nearby.

Bills are an additional £70-80 a month (approx.) for Gas, Electricity, Council Tax, Water, Broadband, TV Licence, Sky, Netflix and a Cleaner once every 2 weeks.

We are available for viewings at these times but can be flexible if these times dont work for you:

- Saturday between 2pm-5pm
- Sunday between 2pm-5pm
- Mon between 6pm and 8pm

If you're available, please contact us with a bit about yourself (e. g. age, job, interests, what you think of the area, reason for moving etc.) and we’ll get back to you if we think you’d make a good fit.
