I’m moving to East London to be nearer work and family so I’m looking for someone to take over my double bedroom.
The room is available from anytime as I can move back home for a bit while I search for a new place and the lease runs until November 2025. Landlord has been decent and responded to any issues within a few hours. He deal with the flat directly so no need to contact the agency if there are any issues.
The flat is located in a great place. It’s between Clapham North and Brixton. The Nothern line, Victoria line and overground from Clapham high street are all within a short walking distance. Clapham high street is about an 8 minute walk away so plenty of food options and bars around as well. I think it’s actually one of best places to be in SW for getting around London.
The room is a large double room with built in wardrobes with draws in either side of the bed. I’ve had a desk in there the entire time I’ve lived there and never had an issues working from home.
The flat has a large kitchen and a decent size living room. The living room and kitchen are completely separate from each other which has been quite nice as well. The flats and upstairs flat conversion in a very quiet road that cars barely ever drive down.
My current flatmate will be staying. He works as a legal secretary in the city and is in the office a lot. He’s quiet and independent.
Rent is £1100 a month and bills have averaged to about £150 each a month since we’ve been there.
You’ll be signing onto the lease for the last year so will need to pass referring checks and affordability checks with the agency (Foxtons)
