I'm looking for someone to take over rent of my room for the final 4 months of the contract running to April 25th 2026. Start date is set for 21 December, but can be earlier if required.
THE FLAT
The flat is in an excellent location between Clapham North (5 minute walk) and Stockwell (8 minute walk) underground stations, giving quick access to Central London, while both Clapham High Street and Brixton are less than a 10 minute walk away.
It occupies the first/top floor of a 2-storey terraced house, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom (with bath and shower) and a good-sized open-plan living and kitchen area. It is fully furnished and tastefully decorated throughout. The living/kitchen area receives plenty of light from its large bay window and includes a table, breakfast bar, sofa, and coffee table. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a built-in washing machine and dishwasher. There is also plenty of shelf and cupboard space for storage.
The bedroom is a bright and well-sized double with original features and a large window. It comes with a full-size double bed, built-in wardrobe with hanging and upper/lower cupboard space, mirror, chest of drawers and bedside table. There is room for a small desk/area for home working (both in the bedroom and living area).
RENTING
The room is available because I will be moving out as I am moving in with my girlfriend towards the end of the year. My current housemate is friendly, sociable and tidy. She works in the office 5 days a week and enjoys running, crafts and music in her spare time.
The end date on the contract is 24 April 2026, so this will be a 4 month let. The contract will end at this point and will not be extended as the landlord is selling the property after end of contract.
Rent is £1050 per month. Bills aren't included and amount to roughly £150 per month (council tax, water, gas, electricity).
