Double Room in Friendly Clapham South house

Hi there!

We’re Becky, Jess, and Katy — good friends living in a beautiful, spacious 4-bedroom house (with a bonus spare room for visiting friends and family). We’re looking for a friendly new housemate to join us, open to girl or boy, as Jess will sadly be moving out.

The available room is a good-size, bright double, furnished with a bed, wardrobe, and built-in shelves, with plenty of space to make it your own. More photos available on request.

The room is available immediately, with a minimum stay of 1 month and 3 months guaranteed, plus the possibility to extend. The house is currently on the market to be sold, so the timeline is flexible, making it ideal for someone looking for a short-term, relaxed setup in a lovely home.

The house itself is a charming, multi-level Victorian home owned by Ruth, a lovely local vicar who lives just around the corner if needed. Because the house is so big, you get the best of both worlds - lots of privacy when you want it, and great shared spaces when you feel like being social.

It includes:
• Two bathrooms
• Two large living rooms (perfect for relaxing, WFH, or hosting friends)
• A bright, open-plan kitchen and dining area
• A small, pretty garden for sunny mornings or evening drinks
• A cellar and attic offering additional storage space

We’re on a quiet, pedestrian-friendly street just a 5-minute walk from Clapham South station (Northern Line). At the end of the road there’s a large Tesco and M&S Food, plus we’re close to all the cafés, pubs, bars, and shops around Clapham Common — and of course the park itself for runs, bootcamps, tennis, picnics, or just switching off.

Rent is paid monthly. Bills aren’t included and usually come to around £200 per month (in winter months), covering council tax, utilities, broadband, and a cleaner.

We’re looking for someone sociable, tidy, and easygoing who enjoys good food, the occasional glass of wine (or drink of choice), and a relaxed, respectful vibe. We love spending time together, but it’s not a party house — more a happy, welcoming home where everyone feels comfortable.
