Come and join us in our friendly flat share in Clapham!
*THE ROOM*
We have available a large, charming double room with fantastic built-in wardrobes. The room is technically unfurnished, but our departing flatmate Shane has furniture to sell (note, this is different from what is pictured).
The room can comfortably fit a king-sized bed – the bed pictured is actually a super king – along with several other pieces of furniture. The room has access to a lovely large bathroom with a walk-in waterfall shower and free-standing bath.
*THE HOUSE*
Our spacious house is split over three main floors, plus it has a separate laundry room in the basement/former coal pit that we also use for storage.
The ground floor has a sitting/TV room, a small guest loo, a dining room, and a large, modern kitchen that opens up onto a patio garden with a small shed. The first floor has three bedrooms, the largest of which will be yours, and the aforementioned shared bathroom. The top floor has a shared office which can be used for remote working, plus another bedroom with an ensuite.
*THE AREA*
Our street is peaceful and quiet with low traffic volumes. The house is less than five minutes’ walk to Clapham South Tube as well as Clapham Common itself. Balham Station and Clapham Junction are 10-15 and 30 minutes’ walk respectively, both of which also have overground services.
There are loads of supermarkets and great pubs/restaurants/amenities nearby, as we are walkable to Abbeville and Northcote roads, as well as Balham and Clapham Old Town.
*THE FLATMATES*
You’ll be living with three working professionals, two of whom work 50/50 between home and the office.
The housemates are:
• Steve: English, quantity surveyor
• Jess: English, conservationist
• Alex: Kiwi, financial PR consultant
We all have pretty busy lives but are always pleased to get together for a beer or glass of wine when schedules allow. We would value a flatmate who is respectful yet easy-going.
*LOGISTICS*
Bills are £135 a month which includes gas, electric, water, council tax, TV license, internet and a fortnightly cleaner. Shane is offering his furniture (king bed, bedside table, and shelves) for £250.
The room is available from 1 December. We look forward to meeting you for a viewing!
