Description
We moved in as strangers two years ago and somehow ended up best mates. One of us is now disappearing off into the sunset with his girlfriend (we're happy for him, honestly), which means there's a room going in what has quietly become one of the better houses in Clapham South.
THE HOUSE:
Beautiful place on a gated Mews, so it's peaceful in a way that doesn't quite make sense given we're five minutes from the high street. You get a double bedroom and a private study on the top floor, both of which catch good light and have a lovely view over rooftops towards Crystal Palace. Downstairs there's a large kitchen and living room that open out onto a beautiful garden. Parking on the private driveway.
YOUR ROOM:
* Small top floor double bedroom (morning sun, cosy)
* Private study - great for WFH
* Shared bathroom with one other tenant (house also has a separate downstairs loo)
* Comes furnished: bed, good mattress, desk, shelving, the works
RENT:
£1,330 + ~£170 bills | Deposit: £1,731 | Available: July
US:
James - 36, filmmaker, post-production, resident gardener.
Norman - 34, filmmaker, feature film in the works).
Christoph - 34, data engineering, Bloomberg, suspiciously well-engineered for a human.
We all play music. There are still an unreasonable number of guitars in the house. We all do sport Chris and Norman enjoy a bit of sport, James will move his body around if he absolutely must.
We have quarterly house parties and then return to being functional adults. There's even a spare room for guests.
We're tidy. Surprisingly so, some have said, for three guys in their mid-thirties. We'd like to keep it that way. Our cleaner does the deep clean in the common areas, but we keep it a lovely place to live in the mean time and tidy up after ourselves as we go (we don’t kick up a fuss if one of us leaves a plate or two on the side overnight though)
YOU:
We're not going to hand you a checklist of hobbies to match against. If you're someone who wants a home rather than just a room, can hold a conversation, and won't leave a frying pan soaking for three days, we're probably going to get along fine.
Kind, sociable, and house-proud will do it.
Moving in: beginning to end of July. Drop us a message and come meet us.
