Cute double room in lush location by River Lea

We’re looking for a short-term lodger to take Flore’s lovely double room while she’s visiting family in Belgium. The flat is in a beautiful, peaceful spot right by the River Lea and Hackney Marshes, with amazing nature on the doorstep. It’s perfect for walks along the river or through the marshes while still being well connected to the rest of London.

The room is available from 28 March until a flexible date towards the end of April. The room has a double bed and plenty of storage space. The flat itself is cosy but has more than enough living space, with slightly retro decor and comes fully furnished.

You’d be sharing the flat with Ella (37), the live-in landlady, who is currently doing a yoga teacher training and loves the calm vibe of the area. Also living here is Juno, Ella’s gorgeous cat and fan of snacks and cuddles.

The vibe in the flat is calm, friendly and relaxed, and we enjoy a chilled, girly houseshare. We’re looking for a woman in her 30s or early 40s who is clean and considerate but easygoing. Someone who enjoys a cosy home and the occasional shared meal or film.

The estate also has a really lovely community feel. Neighbours sometimes meet up for drinks, walks or even festivals together.

The flat was rented out on Airbnb for two years and had Superhost status, so people tend to have a really great stay here.
