Description
I’m in the process of moving for work, which unfortunately means giving up my tenancy in this lovely two-bedroom flat in Clapton. I’m genuinely sad to be leaving, so I’m hoping to find someone who will love living here as much as I have!
The flat and the area:
This flat really is a bit of a gem. There are beautiful river views from both the living room and the bedroom, and it’s in one of the best parts of East London. You get that lovely balance of having a bit of peace and quiet away from the usual hustle and bustle, while still being right on the doorstep of everything that makes this part of London so great.
There’s a real sense of community in the area, and it’s somewhere you can genuinely feel at home. Chatsworth Road, with its brilliant independent shops, cafés and local favourites, is just a short walk away. There are plenty of green spaces and parks nearby, as well as some great gyms, so whether you’re into weekend walks, a morning coffee, or keeping active, everything is close by.
Clapton has such a nice neighbourhood feel without feeling disconnected from the rest of London, which is one of the things I’ve loved most about living here.
The room and the flat:
The room will be unfurnished, giving you a blank canvas to make it your own. The communal areas are partially furnished, as my current flatmate is in the process of redecorating and buying some new bits for the living room. I’ll include photos of how the flat looked previously, alongside some more recent pictures, so you can get a feel for the space and how it’s coming together.
There’s plenty of scope to make the flat your own, too. If you have furniture, artwork, plants or bits you’d love to bring, you’re very welcome to!
The idea is to create a home that feels comfortable and reflects both of your personalities, rather than a generic rental.
The flat has lovely, high-spec finishes throughout, a new oven/kitchen and a really nice bathroom with a great shower (and, importantly, no mould!). It’s a well-kept space that feels good to come home to.
A little about your future flatmate:
You’ll be living with a 35-year-old woman who works in VR for a large corporate company. She enjoys going to the gym, seeing friends and all the usual things, and travels fairly regularly for work. That means there will be some weeks when you have the flat to yourself, which is a nice bonus!
She’s looking for someone who’s friendly, up for a chat and interested in making the flat feel like a home, rather than just a place to sleep. Equally, it’s important that you both respect each other’s space, routines and downtime. Ideally, you’ll be someone who enjoys a sociable, relaxed home environment while being happy doing your own thing, too.
The practical bits
* Rent: £1,100 per month
* Bills: Approximately £180–£250 per month, depending on the season. This includes a cleaner every two weeks, as well as cleaning supplies to help keep the communal areas in good shape.
* Transport: Around a 10-minute walk to Clapton Station.
* Parking: A free parking space is included.
* Pets: Dog-friendly - and dogs are very welcome!
* Availability: I’m in the process of moving, so subject to references and the necessary arrangements, the room could be available as soon as possible.
If this sounds like your kind of place, drop me a message with a little bit about yourself, what you do, your ideal move-in date and anything else you think would be good to know. It would be lovely to hear from you, and we can arrange a chat to see if it feels like the right fit!
