Description
Hi! I am heading to Germany with work at the beginning of March so we are looking for a new flatmate for our Clerkenwell home - either for six months, or to take over the lease long-term.
Your flatmates will be Teni and Lakshay - Teni is a design engineer and works for a trendy architecture firm; Lakshay works in asset management, but is still very trendy! They are both incredible flatmates. We have our own social circles in London, but also enjoy hanging out together in the flat (cookery programmes are a guilty pleasure) or going for a drink - we live opposite a fab wine bar.
Our flat is on the first floor of a small block which has a private gated courtyard looking out onto the back of St John Priory Church. The block has a really relaxed neighbourly feel, with a mix of younger residents as well as families.
In the flat itself we have a big living room with a couple of sofas and a proper dining table, a nice new kitchen which is well-stocked with everything you need to cook up a storm, and a recently renovated bathroom.
The room available is the biggest bedroom in the flat and a very spacious double, with a big sash window meaning it's light and bright. The room is fully furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table, plus a huge full length mirror. My shoddy camera skills and lack of flair for interior design really don't do the room justice!
If you don't know the area, Clerkenwell is a historic part of town right next to the City of London. It's super central but also surprisingly peaceful, especially at weekends. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, with Exmouth Market and Smithfield Market both on our doorstep. We are also close to Angel, Shoreditch and Bloomsbury. We are about 1min from a Waitrose and a Tesco, with a Sainsbury's less than a 5min walk away. Really everything you need is within walking distance.
We deal directly with the private landlord and his friend who lives locally and manages the flat. They are honestly the most receptive and helpful landlords I have ever had - we've never had any problems with them. The rent is £1148 a month, with bills on top coming to about £75 max.
