Description
As our lease is to expire at mid-May 2025, my flatmate will be leaving for new horizons. I, however, am really happy in this flat, and I’d like to find someone to renew the lease with!
The lease: The lease would start mid-May 2025 and can be 6 months or a year long (tbc by the letting agency).
The location: The flat is located in Clerkenwell-St Luke (Zone 1), in central London. A short walk from tube stations like Old Street (10 min), Farringdon (10 min) or Barbican (10 min). The area is nice and safe. There are several restaurants, pubs and supermarkets (Aldi, Coop, Waitrose, etc.) nearby.
The flat: It is in a recent-build compound, 2nd floor, with an elevator, very clean and with a lot of lil’ plants :) You would share the kitchen and the living room with me. You have your own bathroom (see picture) and I have my own. The flat has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
Your room: It has a very comfortable Queen size bed, storage space, and a desk. It has a big window and very good light. Your room comes with its own private bathroom (not en-suite).
The furniture: the flat was originally unfurnished. All the furniture belongs to my flatmate and I. You would need to buy-back my flatmate’s share of the common spaces’ furniture (mainly the living room table, the couch, the arm chair, the kitchen utensils), and the furniture in the room is up for grabs (desk, mattress, clothing rack, etc.). Happy to discuss it more in detail.
A bit about me: I am Chloé (F27), in the final years of my PhD in International Relations. I like living in orderly, clean, calm spaces, and I want to find someone similar, who enjoys a cozy space to live. Because I am doing my PhD, I need this flat to be a peaceful space where I can rest and unwind, but also work in, once or twice a week, and over the weekend. I am social and I do enjoy a good chat. Happy to have a drink at the nearby pub from time to time, or to cook together once in a while. I like fencing, illustration, comic books and crochet :D
I am looking for: a flatmate (F 26-35), nice, calm and easy going, and good at cleaning behind herself, so that we can both readily enjoy the common spaces.
Costs: The room comes at 1375£ / month, which includes the cost of water. This does not include the cost of electricity, gas, internet and flat insurance, which we would share. As I have the status of student, I am exempt from council tax. If you are not a student, household council tax would be at your charge.
→ If you are interested, please DM me with a small text about yourself: age, occupation, interests, a bit about your character / vibe as a roommate, etc.
