Description
Hello! We’re Nicole and Oliver (a couple) and we’re looking for someone to join us in our lovely flat. We moved in last April with a friend, but she’s moving out - so we’re searching for someone to take her room until April (with the option to stay longer if we all get along). We’d love to find not just a flatmate, but a friend to share the space with.
The flat will be available from 21st December (there might be some flexibility, but the contract change takes 4-6 weeks so this would be the earliest). We could look at early December if you meet the agency requirements.
We’re looking to start the name change process ASAP due to how long it takes, so please message me/show interest in the ad and we can organise viewings this week.
📍 Location
Our flat is on Goswell Road (Zone 1). Super central, right between Angel, Farringdon, Barbican, Old Street and opposite City University.

Costs 💰
- Rent: £973.33 (includes no deposit scheme)
- Bills: roughly £140 each (this includes water, council tax, internet, home insurance and energy. Gas is included, which means the flat is always warm in the colder months).
- You’ll need to pass agency referencing and be added to the contract, replacing our current flatmate. Salary requirement: 2.5x your share of annual rent.
The flat 🏠
The living room was mostly unfurnished when we moved in, so most of the things you see in the photos are thrifted but we managed to find all the essentials and make it look homely.
The kitchen is big and comes with a washing machine, a fridge and a brand new oven. We have an air fryer, a microwave and a coffee machine which you’ll be welcome to use should you wish to.
We have a small balcony - you can even see St Paul’s and the Shard 😊
The room offers amazing storage - our room is basically the same size and we managed to fit two people’s clothes and belonging, so you’ll find that there’s plenty of space. The bed frame also comes with drawers which is always handy to keep things tidy. Our flatmate it looking at leaving the white drawers (next to the bed) for £60 if you’d like to buy them, as well as an 8cm thick mattress topper (Inofia sleep gel memory foam) for £50.
We’re also happy to send more videos and photos of the house.
About us:
- Nicole (30): Originally from Italy, PR Manager at a streaming service. Works from home a few days a week.
- Oliver (28): From Australia, bartender & whisky expert, also working in construction and studying carpentry.
We are sometimes on different schedules when Oliver works in the evenings, so depending on your job you might see one of us more than the other, but we love doing things together and we’re always down for a chat. We’re hoping to find a friend and not just a flatmate as we’d love to extend the contract after April.
