Description
We (Kasia 🇵🇱, 32; Julia 🇩🇪, 30) are friends and working professionals looking for a new housemate to share our lovely home with.
Abe 🇲🇽, 35, will be joining us in October, so we’ll be a household of four.
🏡 The house is spacious, with a living/dining space, south-facing garden (which is currently the Sahara), kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms, so you would only share the bathroom with one other person (Julia). We have a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, a terrible air fryer that will possibly explode soon, but generally everything you need. We’ve also got a projector in the living room, which is our TV substitute 📺
🪴 The room is on the second floor and is spacious, with a built-in wardrobe, bed and chest of drawers. There’s also probably enough space for a desk if you need to work from home. You’ll get some morning sun but not direct sunlight all day — ideal for keeping plants alive and not crunchy, as you can see in the photos — and the temperature is manageable during London heatwaves 🌞
📍 The house is located in a residential area near the Wandle River. We have a big south-facing garden. If you’re into running, it’s a good spot to run along the river to Morden Hall Park, or just for a cute Sunday stroll to Merton Abbey Mills. In the other direction, Wimbledon Broadway offers a bunch of shops, restaurants and pubs and is about a 15-minute walk away (or 4 minutes on a Lime bike 🚲).
🚇 Transport-wise, it’s just 7 minutes’ walk from Colliers Wood (Northern Line) or about 20 minutes’ walk from Wimbledon (District Line and trains). Haydon’s Road (Thameslink) is also only 10 minutes’ walk away. There’s a big Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Dunelm, M&S, Boots, Burger King, etc. within 10 minutes’ walking distance, plus a bunch of pubs and cafés.
☕️ We’re all working professionals, so the house is generally pretty chilled during the day. We’re looking for someone who wants more than just a roof over their head — we’d love to have someone who’s sociable and up for sharing the occasional coffee/drink, hanging out in the garden, playing awful tennis, or just having a chat in the kitchen, whilst still appreciating that we all have our own lives and space.
With bills (WiFi, gas/electricity, water and council tax), the total monthly cost would probably be around £1,100.
