Description
Hiya,
I'm looking to rent my second bedroom out from Monday – Friday (or even more short term). The room is a decent sized double, bright and airy on a quiet, leafy, private street in an art deco apartment in Crystal Palace. (I currently use the room as my office space but will clear out as needed. Will come with double bed and chest of drawers. Plenty of room for a clothes rail, etc) Move in date is flexible. (Also happy to consider short term lets, a few nights here and there, or Monday - Thursday / Sunday - Weds etc, and will adjust rent accordingly.)
It's a beaut of a flat, 1930s art deco, in a peaceful and pretty woodland area. There is a small balcony off the living room area that overlooks private woodland - the woodland is private to residents and lovely for a stroll or a run. It's a very bright and homely flat – with lots of room for two people to live comfortably and have their own space. The monthly price is all inclusive (bills and Council Tax as well as wireless broadband).
Private parking is free on the street and public transport options are excellent. There is a bus stop directly outside the apartment – 10 minutes to both West Norwood / Tulse Hill and Crystal Palace stations, offering direct links by Overground or mainline trains to Clapham Junction, London Victoria, London Bridge, Farringdon, East Croydon, Canada Water. The Crystal Palace Triangle is about 4 bus stops away, or a 15 minute walk – which will cater for everything your heart desires. Streatham is also a 10 minute bus journey, and Brixton is around 25 mins on the bus – where you can get the Victoria line on the underground. (Also direct buses to Croydon, Tooting, Norwood Junction, Upper Norwood and Anerley) Lots of options, basically!
You will be sharing with me! I own the flat and am a freelance TV Producer. I mostly work from home (but sometimes a bit of both) so am looking for someone who will commute into work every day – preferably a working professional / self-employed or a student who lives outside of London and is looking for a place close to the city during the week.
I’m very much a home bird and love nothing more than to potter with my plants. I love music and books and old things. Looking for a like-minded / chilled person who is independent and enjoys their own space. Female / Queer / LGBTQ friendly ONLY (No straight men, sorry!), A mature household, so the room would suit a professional who will be a clean, responsible flatmate and respect the space. It's not a party house, but a trip to the local, or a natter over a glass of wine from time to time would be lovely.
Anyone who is interested, please DM me with a little bit of info about yourself x
