Description
Double room in a spacious maisonette, sharing with one other (me). <15 minutes walk to Crystal Palace Triangle and CP Station, 20 minute walk to Norwood Junction Station, loads of open space and nature around. I’ve been sharing with a friend for the last year, but now he’s moving more central, so I’m looking for a new friend to move in.
Keen to meet someone who can join me on the odd local activity (pub, Parkrun, sauna, vintage shopping, market, etc) but also who has their own social life and values their own space and time. I’d like the flat to be a home as much as possible, there are opportunities for you to personalise the living spaces and I’d be happy if you made it your home too.
The room:
Large, bright room with views over woodland towards South Norwood Lake. The flat is spread over two floors, so both bedrooms have privacy from the main living spaces, and from each other. Furnished with a double bed, mattress, mirror, shelf, and clothes rail. It’s reasonably sized, so can take a desk, chair, or extra storage. The room is 3.6m x 3.3m (12m2)
The flat:
A purpose designed maisonette with a large open plan ground floor kitchen, living, dining space, and two bedrooms, a utility (with extra clothes storage), and bathroom on the floor above. The flat is in good condition and of a high spec; underfloor heating in the bathroom, app-controlled electric radiators, TV with Xbox/subscriptions, and a new kitchen with dishwasher.
The area:
Located on a modernist estate in a leafy part of Crystal Palace, with lots of parks, woods, and lakes around. Great for any nature-lovers or sporty people as Crystal Palace Park, National Sport Centre, South Norwood Lake etc are all very local. The estate has well maintained communal grounds and overall has a very calm atmosphere.
CP Triangle is just up the hill, with shops, supermarket, pubs, the lovely Everyman Cinema, and more a short walk away.
10 mins walk to Crystal Palace Station (trains to Victoria, London Bridge, Windrush Overground Line via Canada Water to Shoreditch).
20 mins walk to Norwood Junction (fast trains to London Bridge, Blackfriars, Farringdon, Croydon).
410 Bus route right outside.
About me:
I’m a 29 y/o architect working in Bermondsey (occasionally wfh). Tend to keep myself busy on weekends by getting out on runs, climbing, cycling, trips around the city. I’m not a loud personality; but I’m sociable, relaxed, creative and good company (I’m told).
A LGBTQ housemate is preferred, but not essential. To keep the place clean and calm, I ask no smoking, vaping, pets, or couples. I own the flat, but want to avoid the landlord-lodger dynamic as much as possible and just keep things friendly.
I’ve been living in South London for the last 4 years in houseshares, so the setup is familiar to me and I respect people’s space, privacy, and way of life, all I ask if you do the same!
Look forward to meeting you!
